The broadcasts are filmed and translated months ahead of time. there may be an introduction video, but there is no precedent since this is the first new member since JW Broadcasting was formed.

Also, court after court has ruled that Watchtower does not have a fiduciary responsibility and that there is no special relation between congregants and the religion. Also just as in California, other states have shown that there is no duty to warn or a duty to protect.

He was the US Gymnastics physician who was convicted of child molestation. They just went through 7 days of victims impact statements and he was sentenced to 50-174 years in prison in federal court. That is in addition to his state convictions.

Again why would the lawyers even care? Again unless you are saying that the members have committed these actions themselves they cannot be prosecuted. I don't understand why Watchtower would care.

Why would they be watching? There is no accusation against a GB member. Larry Nassar is the one who actually abused children. Unless your actually accusing actual members of child abuse.

While that story is horrendous it also shows human nature. The woman has a duty to find out whatever she can from a potential husband through asking questions of the man and spending time with him. Granted you did not indicate what time era this event took place, it is presumable that the man after being convicted had to report as a sex offender depending on the state laws, so she could have found that information that way. Also, there have been instances where women know that they are marrying sexual offenders and don't care or overlook it because they feel that love is stronger than that. Your story while true has to be looked at all angles and can't just lay the blame because someone didn't come up to her and tell her that he was convicted of a sexual assault.

Also, the ARC own spreadsheet indicates that most of those cases involved those of a family relationship and did not involve those that were in an appointed position.

As far as I can tell Conti is allowed to speak of her case to anyone that she wants, since it was not a settlement but went to verdict. She just may not want to speak about it at all.
I know that people think that Watchtower just keeps losing these cases but if you actually do the research you will find that they are not. Even the ARC people are saying that each victim will get 115,000 Australian Dollars. There is certain criteria that the victims will need to meet in order for them to even to receive compensation and that is on a sliding scale. And according to even the last ARC Watchtower hearing only like 2 people have even requested funds.

Actually, MLK in his Doctoral thesis did plagiarize a lot of the thesis. A committee in the 80s from his university found that. They did indicate that most likely that it was inadvertent but just like everyone the more times that past the more information comes out about people. It doesn't negate what he did for civil rights, but no one is without stain.
